Kinderkicks, LLC is the premier preschool/elementary soccer program
tailored exclusively for boys and girls ages 18 months to 8.
Our mission is to introduce your child to the game of soccer, providing
him/her with the proper fundamentals, in a relaxed, non-competitive
atmosphere. Your child will start in an age-appropriate class and
learn the necessary motor skills used not only in soccer, but in
many other sports-related activities, as well. We concentrate on
balance, coordination, kicking the ball, and playing together as
a team. Integrating music into our preschooler lessons has proven
very enjoyable for the children and seems to aid them in the learning
process. The curriculum also includes identification of body parts,
learning left from right, counting and the use of colors, all in
an effort to encourage learning in a safe, friendly environment.
Most importantly, we want your child to have FUN!
Janet McIntyre is the Director of Kinderkicks and personally teaches
a large number of classes herself. She graduated from USI with degrees
in Early Childhood/Elementary/Kindergarten Education, while minoring
in PE. Janet played soccer from the time she was in grade school
until she graduated from Memorial High School. It seemed natural
to integrate her love of soccer with her college education to create
Kinderkicks. Janet's coaching experience includes 8 years at the
recreational level. She spent 2 years teaching at Off The Wall
Sports, and 7 years at Aldersgate Church (inside/winter months)
and Price Park (outside/summer months). After a short period of
being affiliated with Metro Sports Center, the Kinderkicks program
has moved inside @ Tristate Athletic Club and outside @ James Price Park.
We
are currently offering three (3) sessions per year: Jan. through April (Winter/Spring Session), May - August (Summer Session), & August through December (Fall/Winter Session).
Payment is required in full at the time your child begins
class. It is not necessary for you to wait until a new session begins
to sign up. In the event your child enters the program after a session
is underway, the fee is pro- rated and will be based on a rate of
$12 per class. There is also a registration/insurance fee of $55
due at sign-up, which includes a FREE soccer ball, t-shirt and insurance is good
for one year. The number of classes per session
varies, depending on the number of weeks in each calendar month.
